Tony played college tennis at Briar Cliff College for 3 years in Sioux City Iowa and transferred his senior year to The University of Illinois of Springfield Illinois, all NAIA schools, where his doubles team was undefeated and ranked as number one in the country. He opted not to play NCAA and chose to get certified to teach tennis at Van Dee Meer Tennis University (PTR) and has been teaching since 1979. He has coached over 100 collegiate scholarship players and 6 state champs. Tony held a leadership role at Camargo Racquet Club and has been with Five Seasons since 2017.
