Ru has been a USPTA Elite professional since 2005. He was a high performance coach in CARE academy in Chicago and at the Five Seasons Cincinnati Club. He has served as the Junior Director, Adult Director and Tennis Director at Five Seasons NKY, giving him the experience to teach all ages and abilities of juniors and adults. Ru was a four-year scholarship athlete at Morehead State University where he graduated with his bachelors and masters degrees in addition to being the assistant coach for both men’s and women’s tennis teams. Ru is originally from Sri Lanka where he was a nationally ranked junior and represented the Sri Lankan Davis cup team in 1996-1997.
