CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY (August 8, 2023) – Five Seasons Family Sports Club (Five Seasons), a health and wellness club located in Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, Crestview Hills, Ky., and Burr Ridge, Ill., is excited to announce Shawn Barone as club manager of its Crestview Hills location (345 Thomas More Pkwy, Crestview Hills, KY 41017).
“Shawn has been with Five Seasons for over 20 years serving as a Tennis Coach and Director,” said Nancy Conard, Chief Operating Officer at Five Seasons Family Sports Club. “His deep experience coaching on the collegiate level for the University of Dayton, Northern Kentucky University and most recently Thomas More University is a testament to his skills and tennis expertise. We are thrilled to have him in this new role in his hometown where we know he’ll continue to create the best experience for our members and the community.”
As club manager, Barone will oversee all club operations. This includes leading, selecting, and developing the team to not only elevate the customer experience but also to successfully execute the club’s key priorities and objectives. His wealth of experience makes Barone an ideal fit for this role. He first joined the Crestview Hills location as a tennis teaching professional in 2002 and became the club’s Director of Tennis in 2014, in addition to serving as the head coach of women’s tennis at Thomas More University since 2018.
Barone came to Thomas More from Northern Kentucky University (NKU), where he had served as the assistant men’s and women’s tennis coach for six years. He was involved with recruiting, arranging team travel, and conducting individual and group practices at NKU while also coaching during matches. His work assisting the women’s team at the university earned him Midwest Assistant Coach of the Year honors in 2012.
“I have spent most of my adult life as a member of the Five Seasons’ family – and I say ‘family’ because that’s what it feels like to work with the people that are here,” said Barone. “The club, along with tennis and fitness in general, have continued to evolve, and our club has evolved with it, bringing pickleball to life in competitive and fun ways. The incredible people, amenities and atmosphere are the reasons that I’ve continued my tenure at Five Seasons year after year and I look forward to being part of a team focused on providing the best in athletics, social activities and events to our members and community.”
