Welcome to The Excellence Tennis Academy. Our philosophy of “get better every day,” is delivered through the latest teaching methods by top-level professional coaches. Whether a beginner or professional, we are committed to offering a full pathway for your tennis development. We are fortunate to be supported by The Excellence Tennis Foundation and Five Seasons Sports Clubs. With their support we are able to offer some of the lowest priced training in the country, as well as scholarships to a majority of our players.
Players strive to play for their school team and learn tennis as a lifetime sport. Weekly clinics with flexible attendance.

Players meet 3 times per week and it is recommended that they add additional individual tennis and fitness instruction.

EX & ACADEMY
In our most intensive program, players will train daily. Individual technical time and fitness training are included and packaged together to reward this commitment.
Programs focus on tennis fundamentals. Learn the game and begin playing immediately in a fun and social environment.
Monthly Drill Options
Our Clinics consist of weekly themed practices with emphasis on double tactics, strategy and situational point play.

USPTA Elite Pro, PPTA Platform Tennis Certiﬁed
Chris is an accomplished tennis coach and player who has been Tennis Director at Five Seasons Northbrook for 19+ years. She has over 30 years of teaching experience who shares her competitive playing knowledge with her students. Chris is a singles State high school champion in the state of Michigan and was ranked at least top 25 nationally in every junior age division. She was the #1 U.S. nationally ranked amateur player in 1985 and 1986 which earned her the opportunity to compete in the U.S. Open qualifying event two years. She competed in collegiate NCAA Division I tennis at the University of Wisconsin – Madison where she played #1 Singles 98% of her career. There Chris several times achieved All-Big Ten Team status and received All-Big Ten Academic honors. She was voted the team’s most valuable player, was team captain and received the prestigious Big Ten Medal of Honor Award for athletic and academic success. She was selected to the Big Ten Conference 1980’s All – Decade Team. Chris graduated with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree with a major in Information Systems and Marketing. Chris has won 30 national tennis titles and was ranked #1 in the world in the 35’s ITF Veterans rankings in 2002. She was the USPTA World Female 35’s Playing Pro of the Year in 2002 and the USPTA Midwest Playing Pro of the Year 1997 – 2002. She was nominated as the Chicago District Player of the Year in 2000. Chris has written articles for Platform Tennis Magazine and has taught the sport for 15+ years. She has achieved a platform tennis national ranking as high as #2 and won the Illinois State Women’s Platform tennis title six times.

Wendy Gilles Revak
SSA Certiﬁed Personal Fitness Trainer
Wendy has 30 years of experience teaching and coaching tennis however began as a Top 25 USTA nationally ranked player from 10 through 18 years of age. She was the Class “A” Michigan State Champion at #1 Singles (1985), and played tennis on the University of Wisconsin Varsity Women’s Tennis Team (1986-1989), where she was the #1 Singles and #1 Doubles player for The University of Wisconsin all 4 years. She was selected to the All Big Ten Conference Team (1986-1989), and elected Team Captain and Most Valuable Player (1989). Wendy was selected to the All Big Ten Decade Team for the 1980’s (Only 10 women were chosen out of all Big Ten schools from 1980-1989). She is also the women’s 25 and over National Indoor Champion in Singles and Doubles (1996), and Doubles (1998). She was the assistant Coach at The University of Michigan from 1990-1994.
Director of High Performance & Junior Program, USPTA, USTA High Performance
Maciek is the Chicago Boys 18’s Cup Team and Super Excellence head coach. He has 20 years of coaching and playing experience at junior, ITF, college and ATP levels. Maciek has developed numerous blue chip and top 10 ranked players in the nation. He has been selected three times for the high performance coaching program at the US Open, has coached at numerous USTA regional training camps for the best juniors in Midwest, and has coached at the USTA junior Spring Team Nationals where he won a national championship with his team. Maciek holds an Executive MBA degree from Notre Dame and is the founder of the non-for-proﬁt Time4Tennis organization, as well as the Chicago Polish Tennis Association.
Tennis Professional USPTA
Jon is a USPTA certiﬁed tennis professional that has been teaching all levels of players for over 30 years. He started his career for Vic Braden in Germany where he received training in the bio-mechanics of tennis. Jon lived in Germany for 3 years and speaks the language. After Germany, Jon came back to the United States where he owned Quail Valley tennis club in Tucson , Az. There, Jon developed many top juniors in the southwest and eventually formed one of the largest academies in the southwest at the El ConQuistador resort with Jennifer Fuchs. Jon currently teaches all levels of adults and juniors.
At the age of 22, Piotr already has multiple years of coaching experience with all ages/levels of players, while still competing at a high level. He is a certiﬁed Tennis Performance Trainer (TPT) by the International Tennis Performance Association, and Functional Movement Screen Level 1 certiﬁed. Piotr earned a degree in biology with a minor in kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, while playing for the university’s men’s varsity tennis team. He lives in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago, and enjoys spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
USPTA, USPTR, USRSA and ITF Certiﬁed Coach
Jacek has over 35 years of teaching experience on all tennis surfaces. He coached at River Trails Tennis Club from 1990 – 2005 and ever since has been with Five Seasons Northbrook. Jacek was a national ﬁnalist at the USTA Men’s Open in Tucson, AZ in 1995 and was a national team champion in WKS Mera, Warsaw 1984 – 1985. He is a Team Yonex Advisory coach for the North America Players Services group. Jacek has worked on the professional tour with Kerber, Bencic, Osaka, Wawrinka, Kyrgios, Tiafoe, Shapovalov and Hurkacz from 2005 to the present with Yonex International Players Services. He was a Polish Tennis Federation PZT Davis and ATP Cup coach in December 2019. Jacek also was involved in working with John McEnroe, Mats Wilander, Yannick Noah, Henri Leconte and Mansour Bahrami in the Nuveen Senior Tournament in Chicago in 2001. He was an IMG traveling coach 2002 – 2003 and has coached many top ITF juniors along with several USTA high performance juniors in regional USTA camps. Jacek scouts for Team Yonex in Europe, Asia and North America. He graduated from AWF in Warsaw, Poland in 1984. He is a NCAA certiﬁed coach and was the Northwestern University volunteer men’s tennis assistant coach in 2017. He has been a speaker at the Yonex global sales meeting in Tokyo, Nilgata and Las Vegas 2016 – 2018.
Director of Early Junior Development, USPTA Certified Professional
Mary has degrees in early childhood education and science from the University of Arizona. She has attended workshops starting with the inception of the USTA’s 10 and under program along with many workshop in the area including those presented by Mike Barrell of London, England and Butch Staples of Midtown – Chicago. Mary also worked closely with Mike Barrell on a number of occasions while visiting the National USTA training center in Orlando, FL. Mary loves working with both children and their parents instilling good fundamentals and development. She has been in the trenches of the Five Seasons tennis program since 2001 and have developed a knack for developing good players. Mary has have several strong players under her tutelage. Mary has been instrumental in developing the 10 and under program since the beginning of it at Five Seasons Northbrook. She also enjoys competing in the ladies CITA North suburban leagues and offers a lot to the program with a little more diversiﬁcation.
Przemek was born in Szubin, Poland, where he spent most of his junior years competing. He attended Cameron University on scholarship in Lawton, Oklahoma, where he was a Lone Star Conference ﬁrst team single’s and double’s player. He was named Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team, ITA Scholar Athlete, Academic All-American Lone Star Conference, and made Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll. In 2018, Przemek was Lone Star Conference Newcomer of The Year. Cameron University athletics awarded Przemek as the Male Athlete of the year and Player of the year in 2018. He was one of the top players in the conference in 2018, ﬁnishing the season ranked No. 29 nationally by the ITA and No. 18 as a doubles pair with Mateo Velasco. Throughout his career at Cameron University, Przemek reached a top 20 single’s ranking in men’s NCAA Division II, a top 15 double’s ranking and in addition reaching a top 10 single’s in NJCAA Division I, and a top 4 double’s ranking in NJCAA Division I. Throughout his 4 years at college, Przemek competed on the ITF World Tour reaching a 2300 ITF ranking. Post his college career, he spent a semester as Cameron’s Volunteer Assistant Coach.
USPTA – Elite, USPTR
Jill played Varsity tennis at Libertyville High School, along with competed on an NCAA Division I tennis scholarship at Eastern Illinois University. She has been involved in the tennis industry for 28 years as a Tennis Teaching Professional, Director of Women’s CITA Drills/Teams, Men’s USTA League Drill/Team Tennis Director, QuickStart Program Director, Cardio Tennis, NCAA Coach, and Personal Trainer.
She coached top NCAA Division I tennis athletes as the Assistant Coach at both Boise State University and University of Iowa as well as guided many players at NCAA Championships.
Jill has vast experience with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) as an Area Training Center Coach for both the Intermountain and Missouri Valley Sections, as well as being the Director of Junior Competition and Youth Tennis Coordinator at the Missouri Valley Section. In turn, she continues to stay actively involved in growing the game by currently serving on the Junior Recreation/Play Committee for the USTA Midwest Section.
She has served on the Wilson Advisory Staff for the last 28 years, and her additional certiﬁcations include: USPTA-Elite, USPTR, American Council on Exercise-ACE, USTA Sport Science Level 1,TIA Cardio Tennis, American Heart Association-Adult/Child/Infant CPR & AED
Jill’s extensive teaching, coaching, ﬁtness training, and business management, along with her enthusiasm, passion, and love of the sport, make her a valuable asset in the promotion, growth, and development of the game!
Adult Tennis Coordinator, USPTA Certified
Rachael grew up in the Deerﬁeld, IL area and once trained at Five Seasons in Northbrook herself. During her high school career she was a singles state champion and ranked as high as #9 in the country in singles. In college, Rachael was a doubles All-American at the University of Illinois among other big ten and University awards. After college she started her career in teaching at the well-known IMG Academy Bollittieri Tennis Program. After a few years she felt her heart was back in Illinois and joined her coaching team back at Five Seasons. Rachael started her position at Five Seasons Northbrook as a tennis professional and after a few years has become the Adult Tennis Coordinator. Throughout her time at Five Seasons she has enjoyed working will all ages and levels from very beginner to top #30 in the country. In 2018 Rachael was awarded the Under 30 Tennis Professional award for the USPTA Midwest Section.

Rob started playing tennis in Ottawa, Illinois and was taught by coach Tom Henderson Sr. Rob participated on high school teams which ﬁnished top 8 in state his junior and senior years. He attended Western Illinois University and was elected most valuable player in 1976. Rob began teaching tennis in Chicago where he was mentored by Allan Carvell. Soon after college, Rob became Head Tennis Professional of Northbrook Racquet Club 1990-1998. Rob joined the Five Seasons Northbrook team in 2001. He enjoys teaching adults , kids , and travel teams. Rob has coached two Illinois high school boys state champions.
